Easiest Way to Cook Appetizing Battered fish

Battered fish. It's thick, and coats the fish nicely and yet, doesn't come out overly oily. I do spice the flour with garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt, pepper and vegetable seasoning. It's a good batter for pretty much anything going in the fryer. Combine marmalade and horseradish; serve with fish. This batter makes a really nice crunchy fish that does NOT get soggy.

Battered fish I don't know how people got soggy fish from this recipe. Make sure to salt fish or anything fried for that matter after removing it from the fryer. Ingredients of Battered fish

  1. Prepare 5 of fish fillet ( i used pollock ).
  2. It's 1 tsp of olive oil.
  3. You need 1 tsp of club house salmon season.
  4. You need 1/2 tsp of lemon juice.
  5. Prepare 1 1/2 cup of flour.
  6. It's 1/2 cup of cornstarch.
  7. Prepare 2 tsp of baking soda.
  8. Prepare 1/4 tsp of salt.
  9. You need 1/2 tsp of lawrys season salt.
  10. You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric.
  11. You need 1/2 tsp of paprika.
  12. You need 1/2 tsp of onion powder.
  13. It's 2 cup of water.

Whisk to a pourable, lump-free batter. Meanwhile, dust the fillets with flour and then dip the fish into the batter. Coat evenly, lift out and let the excess drip off. Blend really well using an immersion blender - or liquidize & pour into the tub. (The tub just makes it easier to apply the batter to the fish.).

Battered fish step by step

  1. Cut the fillet in 4 peaces each and place in a bowl and season with the olive oil+ club house salmon season and lemon juice ..just gently rub the ingredients on the fish then set aside ... ( optional > you can sprinkle some black pepper on it as well ...I do ).
  2. In a medium bowl add the flour + cornstarch + baking soda + season salt + salt + turmeric + paprika + onion powder mix altogether with a fork and gradually add your water mixing until you get a smooth batter.
  3. In a deep frying pan on medium heat..heat your oil and once ready dip the fish in the batter and then in the oil ...fry for few minutes on each side ...(tip) > put your oven on @ 225 and place the fish on a baking tray to keep warm while the rest of your fish cooks ...enjoy !.
