Ingredients of Planked Salmon
- Prepare 1 kg of salmon fillet.
- Prepare 3 tbsp of brown sugar.
- Prepare 1 tsp of sea salt.
- You need 1 pinch of ground black pepper.
- Prepare of Zest of lime (optional).
- Prepare 1 tbsp of lime juice.
Planked Salmon instructions
- Soak a cedar plank in cold water for at least one hour, longer is better!.
- Remove any pin bones from salmon, make small incisions in flesh, you can remove skin if you wish..
- Mix sugar, salt & pepper (and lime zest if using) together, sprinkle over salmon, wrap in cling film for 30 -45 minutes..
- Preheat oven to 190C, when hot place plank in oven, on a baking tray, for 5 minutes..
- Remove salmon from cling film and place, skin side down, on plank, drizzle with any liquid, sprinkle on lime juice..
- Place in oven for 25-30 minutes until cooked, should be slightly pink in the middle..
- Serve with fried potatoes and peas or green salad..
