This tuna garlic pasta recipe takes me back to my childhood.
My mom used to make something similar when I was a kid, and I just loved it.

Ingredients of Tuna pasta
- Prepare 150 grams of pasta.
- Prepare 1 of small red onion sliced.
- You need of Olive oil.
- Prepare 1-2 tins of tuna or salmon.
- It's 2 cloves of diced garlic.
- Prepare 1 handful of Herbs fresh of dried.
- It's of Chilli / either dried or fresh.
- It's of Rind and juice of a lemon.
- You need A few of mushrooms sliced.
- You need of Hand full of spinach I used two blocks of frozen spinach.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of capers.
- It's of Sweet chilli sauce optional.
- It's of Wedge of lemon to serve.
- It's to taste of Salt and pepper.
This is an emergency 'quickie' meal in my home. Stir with a fork to break up the largest chunks of tuna. A box of pasta a bag of tuna a can of peas and half a jar of Alfredo sauce seined with basil oregano and garlic. While the pasta boiled I heated the Alfredo peas tuna and dried herbs in a separate saucepan.
Tuna pasta instructions
- Heat a pan of water add salt and once boiling throw in the pasta for 10 - 12 minutes..
- Whilst the pasta is boiling chop the veggies! When chopped pour in some olive oil in a large pan, heat it and throw in the red onion first for it to soften..

- Mix together well and finely add the tuna mixing it in but keeping it in chunks. I finely drizzled sweet chilli sauce over and served with a wedge of lemon. Season well!.
Give the tuna and pasta a stir and serve it immediately. I would definitely recommend adding some parmesan cheese when you serve it. It just brings the flavors together wonderfully!
